Patient Interest Group

Aims of the Group

1. To provide a forum for patients and the practice to exchange ideas and information on the services provided by the practice and its day to day organisation.
   
2. To provide a sounding board for the practice to share information about planned changes or service improvements and developments.
   
3. To provide a direct means of listening to and communicating with patients in areas such as patient survey findings.
   
4. To act as a representative group to influence the provision of quality healthcare and services by the Practice.

Meetings:

To be held every two to three months, between 2 and 3 p.m. at the Practice.  Notes of the meeting and any action plans agreed will be recorded and published.

Membership:

The Practice Manager, Carol Bryceland, will act of Key Link and attend all meetings whenever possible.

A Core Group for each meeting will consist of a minimum of 4 patients, 1 GP and 1 member of the non-clinical practice staff.

All members of the practice team will be eligible to participate and attend meetings.

Other participants may be invited to attend meetings at the discretion of the Core Group
