On 27th January 2016 Eskdaill Medical launched the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS).
With EPS Patients are able to order their prescriptions in the usual way but can collect their medication without the green paper prescription. The prescription will be sent electronically instead.
For patients to use this service they will need to nominate (choose) a pharmacy where they would like the prescription to be sent to. This can be any pharmacy so long as they are ready for EPS (98% are). To nominate the patient will need to tell the receptionist and talk to the pharmacy concerned.
Not all medications can be prescribed in this way, however the practice can confirm what these drugs are.
